#TIA2030 in Media

We are pleased to share an interview from the TV show Beremo on Nova24TV, featuring Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević. A key part of the discussion was focused on the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Technology and Innovations for Agenda 2030 - EU Global Leadership” (TIA2030), which he leads.

Addressing the topic of current global challenges, Prof. Dr. Rončević explained that the project addresses issues of technology and innovation, while also exploring the global reach of the European Union. As he emphasised, the EU operates on the international stage primarily through soft power, diplomacy, and cultural diplomacy, which enable it to contribute to positive change.

He further underlined that the TIA2030 project approaches technologies not only through technological, but also through their social and cognitive dimensions. In this way, the project contributes to understanding and promoting innovations that support also regional development and at the same time strengthen the EU’s role as a global actor.
