We are happy to announce that our 2nd Round table “Institutions, social networks and cognitive frames in implementation of Agenda 2030” being organised as a part of the "Social Science evening discussions", was successfully held on November 8, 2024.
The team presented the project results after the 1st year of implementation and discussed important theoretical assumptions with the speakers and audience. We had a debate about the impact of the three social forces on the adoption and implementation of grand strategies (Agenda 2030 and its SDGs in particular) and found out that the implementation of the grand strategies relies on the active participation and collaboration of various actors (e.g. university-industry-government-public-society nexus) which form cognitive frames and social networks. Driven by their cognitive frames, the actors share a common understanding of the significance of sustainable development, which influences their approach and commitment to the process.
